My sister and her girlfriend were in town, so we made a feast (on a Saturday!) 👯♀️ Please note the over-the-top charcuterie board featuring my all time favorite olive dish 🫒 We also used the jams that my sister and her girlfriend brought us as a gift 😍

Chicken Parmesan
We want to make our greatest hits - so we went with Brian Lagerstrom’s chicken parm which is a group favorite. The sauce is so thick and flavorful and the chicken ends up perfectly crispy and crunchy. The crust is so good it holds up as leftovers after being in the fridge overnight!
Kale Cesar Salad
In keeping with the theme of showing off our bangers, we went with our go-to version (originally featured here). I love the fennel in this. That plus a little too much dressing to cover the kale are the secrets to an incredible salad.
Focaccia
My go-to focaccia is inspired by Amanda Fredrickson’s version. The secret is to really fry it in a decent amount of oil - but not too much. I had been experimenting with a lot of oil and went back to the recommended half cup this time and it was perfect. You can watch me make it here.
Tiramisu
My sister’s favorite dessert is tiramisu, so I made this Brian Lagerstrom version. I didn’t use gelatin, and ultimately found this to yield a drier tiramisu that I prefer. It was not bad, but I would not make this again. To make things even fancier, I put down baker’s twine before I dusted the top with cocoa powder in a fun design for an added element of show-offness.
