This weeks theme was grilled cheese and tomato soup 🥫 Jake & Peach made the Caesar salad with homemade croutons.
Grilled Cheese
We followed this Brian Lagerstrom recipe. The butter-naise yielded perfect browning 👌🏻
Ceasar Salad
I think I saw Peach whisk Mayo, anchovy paste, olive oil and Parmesan in a bowl before adding washed, crisp, romaine lettuce.
Tomato Soup
The secret to this Brian Lagerstrom soup are the chipotle peppers in adobo - they add a smokey depth to the tomatoes 🍅
Banana Split
Inspired by the banana split we recently had at East Brother’s Tam Tavern, this one featured: Strauss vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream, sliced ripe bananas, maraschino cherries (and the glaze they come in) with salted roasted peanuts sprinkled on top
Cinnamon Sugar Folded scones
I have a good scone recipe - so normally, I wouldn’t stray, but I was tempted by the shape of these. I found this version to be drier, and generally worse, than my OG King Arthur version. Would not recommend 👎🏻
