We did brunch this week instead of dinner. To celebrate autumn, we held a side-by-side taste test of sticky buns vs. cinnamon rolls - and the sticky buns took the crown πŸ‘‘

Sticky Buns

I made this Sally’s Baking Addiction recipe - it was my first Sally recipe and the results were amazing. I’m excited to bake more of her recipes ⚑️

Cinnamon Rolls

I wanted to go with a classic here, so I went with King Arthur. Ultimately, there were too many (2) bespoke ingredients and it yielded a worse dough than the much simpler bun recipe. The rolls were drier and less fully. The frosting was good, but how can sugar be bad?

Eggs

Mark’s scrambled eggs. Fluffy perfection πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Orange Juice & Apple Cider

Poured the juices into glass jars.

Fruit Platter

Berries and grapes - no magic here (outside the wavy serving platter), I just like berries and grapes.

Prosciutto Wrapped Melon

I specifically ordered from the deli counter here, thinking that would yield the most delicious, thinnest meat. Unfortunately, I was very wrong. The prosciutto was too thick for the application. Melon was tasty though. Despite poor execution, great brunch dish that you can prep ahead and looks way fancier than it is!

Bacon & Pork Sausage

These were both so good that we ate them before I took any photos πŸ“Έ
