For game 7 of the Western conference finals we were going to eat dinner, watch some basketball and then play Mario Kart - a standard Saturday evening for us. What started as a casual menu, turned into a delicious, memorable evening. Not pictured are all the cocktails we had - manhattans, Gibsons and old fashions 🍸

Compound Butter Chicken

Mark rubbed a 3lbs bird with a compound butter made of lemon zest, time and salt. He stuffed the bird with lemon slices and roasted the whole thing until the thighs reached 145 degrees. It was so juicy and flavorful.

Wilted-Green Beans

Cannellini beans, drained and rinsed, sautéed with red pepper flakes and some garlic before mixing in some chicken broth, lemon zest and wilted greens. I grated some parmesan once on the serving plate. These were flavorful, delicious and dare I say healthy?

Caprese Salad

Heirloom tomatoes (grape and regular sized) topped with olive oil, Maldon sea salt, fresh farmer's market basil, and balsamic glaze. This salad was as delicious as it was beautiful and was assembled in just minutes.
