Amanda was out of town this week so the theme was “eat quickly so we can go play video games faster” 🏎️ We made gringo tacos - or as Mark likes to call them “school cafeteria tacos”. We also kicked off our holiday celebrations with a cookie box, homemade Chex mix (with plenty of left overs), jelly donuts, and a dreidel for Panda to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah 🕎
Tacos
Follow Brian Lagerstrom’s recipe for the ground beef part, then served them with street tacos tortillas which are adorably small. Plated three different varieties of Cholula (regular, chili garlic, and green pepper) for folks to chose from, along side shredded lettuce, Mexican cheese, green salsa, red salsa, and chips.
Souvganiyot (Jelly Donuts)
It was the first night of Hanukkah so we Deb’s version of this classic Hanukkah treat of dough fried in oil then filled them with raspberry jelly and topped them with powdered sugar. The dough was scented with orange zest which really makes these pop!
