It was my birthday this week 🎂 Both of my moms (in-law and biological) sent me desserts so I shared them with everyone 💞 Amanda requested Italian so we went with Sunday gravy 🍝 We also got a new piece of art for the dinning room - it’s a photograph of Muir Beach overlook 📸

Sunday Gravy

Same technique, but this time we used beef short rib, country style pork ribs and hot Italian sausage. We skipped the meatballs since we literally could not fit them in the pot, which turned out to be a loss - everyone missed them 😢 Served on top of Mill Valley Pasta Co. Big Rigs.

Focaccia

My go-to focaccia is inspired by Amanda Fredrickson’s version. The secret is to really fry it in a decent amount of oil. You can watch me make it here (recipe is at the bottom).

Chopped Salad

Made the Smitten Kitchen version of Nancy Silverton’s Chopped Salad. It was perfect. Peach describes as a “sandwich in salad form”

Peanut Butter Blossoms

I had Hershey’s kisses in the pantry because I was considering making these blossoms as part of this year’s holiday cookie boxes but better late than never! They are delicious and will definitely be in next year’s holiday cookie boxes!

Flourless Chocolate Cake

I made this King Arthur version which features a thick ganache topping. It is so delicious, but so rich! Highly recommend serving with berries to cut through the richness 🍓
