Menu

I would like to try and do more crafts with everyone this year, so starting with the first Sunday Supper of the year - we painted tapered candles (photos below 📸🕯️) To accompany this craft, we wanted to serve something easy to eat so people could it enjoy it along side their painting 🎨

Beef Stew

We made this Brian Lagerstrom recipe. We make the fake beef stock and swear by it. Also find the pearl onions to be worth it.

Levain Bread

I bought two different levain’s (plain & gruyère ) from Parkside cafe so we could do “dueling breads”. Both were delicious, I preferred the plain.

Olives, Hummus & Crackers

This herby, bright hummus is my current favorite hummus / snack. Served pited olives in my all time favorite olive serve ware lane platter along side some baby carrots 🥕

Banana Split

For Christmas, Amanda got us these stunning banana split dishes - I am a sucker for glassware and custom use serve ware🍸So we had to serve banana splits! We got Strauss chocolate, strawberry, vanilla ice cream, maraschino cherries, salted peanuts, and hot fudge sauce (the packaging was as good as the fudge). They were perfection.

Candle Painting

I bought these palettes, these paints, these brushes, these white candles, these colored candles, and this paper roll which fits our table oh so perfectly! We painted, we lived, we laughed, we loved! We then let the candles dry overnight. We used as many candle holders as I had (only a few) and then then just used foil for the rest (cheap and basically infinite supply)
